Building instruction updates for Matador and Samurai:
1. Glue cores together with hot glue, Goop or Quick Grip glue.
1.5. Cut elevons to length and to proper tip angle leaving a 1" gap in the center for a finger hole for launching.
2. Cut spar slit 6.5" back from nose on the Matador and 5" back on the Samurai with a new razorblade.
3. Lightly sand the spar. CA glue spar in slit. Add a little baking soda to the spar before gluing with the CA glue.
4. Install shock cord in slit around perimeter of wing. Cut slit with new razor blade and CA glue cord in slit.
5. On bottom of wing put 2" strips of Extreme tape from spar forward. Wrap 2" E-Tape around leading edge of wing.
6. Some flyers use an extra layer of laminate where where the E-tape goes to save weight at the cost of some durability.
7. On top of wing put 2" E-tape from 4" forward.
8. Put 2 layers of laminate on elevons. Put one layer of laminate on top and bottom of wing over foam and tape.
7. Make elevon hinges with 1" wide E-Tape top and bottom of wing. Iron 2" wide laminate strips over tape to protect from UV light.
8. Cut out tight battery hole with battery back 2" with battery laying flat on side in the bottom of the wing.
9. The battery should fit so tight it is pressed into the hole.
10. Cut radio slot 4" back with servo on each end of 7" slot.
11. Servos lay on side. ESC and receiver sit on edge in slot. Some short servos may be able to be stood in the slot.
12. Install radio, horns, and rods (and fins)
13. Add colored tape for visibility top and bottom.
14. Have servo arms to outside edge of slot.
15. Pushrods should connect in center holes of servo arms and in top holes of elevon control horn for maximum leverage.
16. Verify your center of gravity location
17. Center of Gravity is 6.5" back from nose on the Matador and 5.5" back on the Samurai.
18. Add lead to balance on the CG if needed. Flying wings will not fly tail heavy.
19. Set your transmitter to elevon mixing or program your mixing in the menu.
20. Set elevon throws to 3/8" up and down.
21. Elevons will need to be trimmed 1/16- 1/8" up to set the reflex for flight of a flying wing.
22. Go flying!!!!
