To save on shipping the laminate is folded flat in an envelope when ordered alone. The wrinkles iron out and are easy to work with.
All of our kits come with enough clear laminate to finish the plane but we get requests for additional laminate to be used for modifications or repairs. We offer the same UV shielded laminate we provide in our kits in 10 foot lengths. This laminate is unique because it has an outdoor UV protection rating and will also stick to the foam without a spray adhesive (required by most iron on and tape coverings) saving time and weight. It is stronger than colored laminates and it shrinks less so it is less likely to wrinkle during application or rip in an accident. It is easy to apply and repairs and seams are almost invisible. We like to use it with LED night lights because it lets all the light shine through and protects the lights from impact and moisture.
