The 29" Roswell is back!!!
The EPP Roswell was the second plane we sold at Crashtesthobby. We've updated the design to make it Crashtesthobby Tough without losing the amazing delta characteristics that make deltas unique. We have found that sweeping back the 29" version made it easier to balance and it now has better performance with the same motors, ESC, battery and servos that we use on our Assassin and all of our 40" wings. We can laminate it now with the mid motor without making it tail heavy. Your going to love this upgrade.
The solid EPP foam construction make it durable for combat hits and hard landings. The included shock cord protects it from tearing on impact. We include laminate in the kit at no extra charge!!! Laminate keeps the foam clean and protects the E-tape from UV light so the Roswell can last for many years.
The Roswell's fully symmetrical design means it’s always stable right side up or upside down, even doing outside loops until the battery dies, or making aggressive or evasive maneuvers. It flies with hardly any reflux in the elevons. It glides so well I have considered making a slope version to go with out Matador and Samurai slope planes.
The motor and prop are fully protected in the interior of the wing, and you can slow right down for easy park flying. It’s a great platform to take almost any abuse a new flyer can give it, yet acrobatic enough to delight the experienced flyer. It also flies well with the motor on the front but we prefer the mid motor to protect the motor and prop. CG remains at 9" back with either configuration.
You can also build it light without laminate and lightweight radio gear for a graceful slow park flyer. It comes with two fins but has been flown with a single center top fin, twin top fins or as seen in the newest build twin tip fins that are centered on the wingtip with as much below the wing as over the wing. When we were testing our slope versions of the Matador and Samurai we found that centering the fins traps more air under the wing and improves the glide. We have brought that technology to the Roswell for improved aerobatics and glide.
The post office didn't like our box size to save our foreign customers a lot of shipping cost the wings are cut into 4 sections rather than two. This adds two glue joints to the plane but saves money on shipping costs.
The Roswell was designed to use the same motor, ESC and servos as the Assassin, Widowmaker, Albatross and Pelican so you don’t have to get a lot of different sized motors, props and ESCs to fly a variety of our planes.
We are anxious to get your feedback and input. Please shoot videos and give feedback on how you like your new Roswell.
